On Friday 13 September, the two composers met Torgny Amdam for a special edition of the TONO podcast Lage Musikk. The recording took place in front of an audience at Deichman Grünerløkka.
One of the topics of the conversation was the voice as an instrument. Both guests have the voice as their main instrument, and Ratkje talked about how it differs from other musical tools.
– You have a physical and close access to the instrument that is completely unique. The vast majority of us have a voice. It is a common denominator for humanity that you don't have with other instruments. That is why it feels so personal and close too.
