After more than 50 years of significant contributions to Norwegian music life - and the music publishing industry, Leif A. Dramstad is awarded the TONO Mediator Award.

music publishing industry since he was hired as a salesman at Norsk Musikforlag A/S in 1959. He was the publishing manager there from 1988 until recently, and has published around 200 new works a year. He was awarded the King's Medal of Merit in gold in 2009 for his lifelong contribution to Norwegian music. Now he is receiving TONO's Mediator Prize, an award he, in his own words, values at least as highly:
The award is made by a highly competent jury, with members from the Norwegian Association of Composers and Lyricists (NOPA), the Norwegian Composers' Association (NKF) and the Norwegian Music Publishers' Association (NMFF). * The prize consists of NOK 50,000 and a diploma designed by Rune Mortensen. The prize will be presented in Dramstad at TONO's member seminar on October 8 at the UBC Conference Center at Ullevål Stadium.
