Kygo and Ava Max most played on Norwegian radio in 2024

"Whatever" by Kygo and Ava Max was the most played song on Norwegian radio in 2024, according to music reports TONO has received from Norwegian radio channels for 2024.

Every year, TONO presents which songs were played the most on the radio the previous year. At the top of the list is the song "Whatever" by Kygo (Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll) & Ava Max. It was played nearly 14,000 times on the radio in 2024, according to the music reports TONO has received from Norwegian radio channels for 2024.

This makes a song with at least one Norwegian TONO member among the songwriters the most played for the second year in a row. In 2023, the list was topped by Aden Foyer's "The Ballet Girl" (link). The year before, it was "Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)" with Elton John and Dua Lipa that topped the list.

– Norway is among the countries in the world with the most songwriters represented on the international charts. Norwegian songwriters are being noticed internationally. It is very nice and inspiring to see that Norwegian songwriters also claim the top spot among what is played most on the radio in Norway, says Svanhild Katrine Skrede, who works with member relations at TONO.

The list includes Norwegian TONO members involved in Whatever (Kyrre Gørvell-Dahl), Josefin (Amanda Delara), Espresso (Arctic Rights Management), Lose Control (Arctic Rights Management) and Barn som deg (Andreas Bache-Wiig, Ramon Andresen).

The top 10 list is taken from a list of the 30 most played works on Norwegian radio channels in 2024, which will be published in full in TONO's annual and transparency report at the end of May.

The list is based on music reports TONO has received from NRK, P4, Bauer Media and local radio stations for 2024. The list includes 2024 reports received during 2024 up to and including April 2025..
