Music and training go hand in hand! The TONO license covers both the TONO and Gramo payments to those who have created and played the music. It's easy for you, and allows you to play both all the world's hits and all the great, lesser-known music we represent.
If you run a fitness center, you must pay TONO and Gramo fees for music use during group training classes, background music in common areas and possibly a sound recording fee if your instructors create self-produced CDs, DVDs, MP3s, etc. for group training classes.
Background music
Background music means music that is made available to the public in weight training rooms, changing rooms, reception areas, etc. Background music is calculated at a fixed rate of NOK 13.14 per square meter per year, and For Gramo, these prices are calculated in intervals per square meter. (The group training area should not be included when calculating the background music area).
Group training
Group training means aerobics, spinning, TRX groups, etc. You pay according to how many participants you have per group training session.
