Churches and other religious communities

KA – Church Employers' and Interest Organization and TONO has an agreement where the Community Councils can pay an annual fee that covers all concerts organized by the municipality's congregations. This is as an alternative to applying for permission for each individual concert. More about this agreement can be found here..

The state has signed an agreement with TONO for music performances that take place at church services and musical recitals within the Church of Norway and other religious communities. The agreement requires free admission and religious preaching at the event.

TONO has a digital reporting solution for ceremonies.
Guidelines for digital reporting of ceremonies

If an event with preaching has ticket revenue/participant fee, this does not apply to the agreement, and needs to be single-permit.

Church concerts without religious preaching are calculated according to concert rates, based on ticket revenue or audience numbers at free concerts. Collections are not counted as entrance fees/ticket sales, and do not need to be reported.

Single event can be applied for here..
