All Norwegian music creators can apply for money for work, travel, equipment and specialization from the Composers' Remuneration Fund. The next application deadline is February 2nd.
/ 23/01/2026 / Kristian DugstadThe Composers' Remuneration Fund is an application scheme that aims to support creative musical art, regardless of genre. Support is intended to benefit music creators who have made valuable contributions in terms of quality over a number of years of activity.
The fund grants applications in two rounds each year: February 2 and September 2 at 13:00 PM.
The fund provides support to working composers in the form of work grants, travel grants, equipment grants and specialization grants.
Composers' Remuneration Fund has two application deadlines each year. You can apply by February 2nd at 13:00 PM and September 2nd at 13:00 PM.

The Composers' Remuneration Fund is one of three important application schemes for music creators administered by the non-profit organization Musikkfondene, with offices in the TONO house in Kongens gate 12. The other two schemes are The Copywriters' Fund og The Norwegian Composers' Fund.
The Norwegian Composers' Fund is established under the authority of Act on fees to the Norwegian Composers' Fund. According to the law, TONO, as a company that operates as an intermediary for authors of musical works, must pay an annual fee of two percent of gross income. Only TONO is covered by this law. In other words, the funds of the Norwegian Composers' Fund originate from TONO.
