Knut Wiggen has been appointed an honorary member of the Norwegian Composers' Association for his original contribution to Norwegian compositional music and electroacoustic music in particular.
/ 07/12/2009 / codexThe honorary membership was announced at NKF's pre-Christmas party at Lysebu on November 28. Knut Wiggen received flowers and wine here along with a ceramic figure designed by Ole Martin Skaug. Honorary members are people who have done particularly important work for Norwegian composers, or for Norwegian music. Honorary membership is appointed after a unanimous recommendation from NKF's board and a majority in NKF's Music Committee and Scholarship Committee.
This is the first time since 2001 that a new honorary member has been appointed to NKF. The other honorary members are: , , , ,
