The story was published in the newspaper on April 25, and TONO's communications manager was interviewed based on the consultation response. The article is titled "Slaughtering digital selection", with the subheading "Tono distances itself from the idea that copyright should be softened to strengthen digitalization".

– Collective management of rights makes it possible for today's creators to negotiate with services like Wimp and Spotify, says communications manager Willy Martinsen to Klassekampen, pointing out that without collective management, distributors would have had to obtain individual permission from all composers, lyricists and music publishers in order to use their music. TONO has 23,000 members and also licenses music for several million rights holders in other countries.

The case is not published online, but can be ordered by contacting Klassekampen at 21 09 30 00.
