By:larm has long since established itself as one of the most important European conferences for the music industry. Industry professionals and audiences flock to Oslo to participate, not only from Europe, but also from other parts of the world. TONO has been one of the sponsors of the conference for a number of years. We are also doing so this year. TONO should be a safe haven for everyone who writes music. Therefore, this year too, we welcome the By:larm artists to the TONO lounge next door to the main tent. There, you will be able to meet TONO people, who will be able to answer all possible questions about music rights, TONO fees and so on. For us in TONO's administration, it is also a great opportunity to get to know the members better and also hope to be able to recruit new songwriters to the TONO community. It will also be a great arena for networking, and we have a little dream that new meetings here will eventually result in new music! We have worked hard to make the "TONO lounge" a very special experience. Keywords are black walls, heavy red curtains, sofa groups, antiques, chandeliers and a small exhibition with some of the TONO songwriters. We look forward to meeting you there!

TONO will also participate in the seminar "The niche is dead. Love the niche!” represented by department director Inger Elise Mey, one of the country's leading experts on online music. The seminar will take place at Rockefabrikken on Thursday at 2:15 p.m. More information about the seminar here: As in previous years, this week we will also handle artist check-in at the Royal Christiania Hotel. Many of TONO's employees have volunteered to serve the artists here. Together with the association Musikkbyen Oslo and the agency Trøbbelskyter, we will also be organizing a "Warm-up Party" on Wednesday evening in the newly opened "Kulturhuset" at Youngstorget. There will be concerts with artists Atlanter, Nils Bech, Torgeir Waldemar and Kaja Gunnufsen, among others. For TONO, this is a way to get to know better, and strengthen cooperation with, our customers in the concert organizing field in the Oslo area. The party will be open to the public from 9 p.m. TONO is owned and managed by composers, songwriters, lyricists and music publishers, and is fighting for an important cause. We will facilitate the use of music in society in a way that protects their rights and their ability to be paid fairly for the use of the music they create. Part of the job is to highlight their value creation for society. We also need to be "close to" the members' everyday lives, so that we can do the best job possible. We look forward to meeting both old, new and upcoming TONO songwriters!
