The JURI Committee voted yesterday in favour of the directive text that was the result of the winter trialogue negotiations, and which was approved on 13 February, with subsequent approval in COREPER on February 20. The JURI vote resulted in 16 votes in favor and 9 against.
– The vote gave a solid majority for a directive text that we believe is positive. We now look forward with sober optimism to the vote in the EU Parliament at the end of March, says Strøm.
