TONO has been a partner and sponsor of Spellemann since 2008. Composer and lyricist awards were established at that time. We are still guarantors of these awards, and appoint the juries in the two categories. TONO was also instrumental in creating a separate category for Songwriter of the Year in 2018.
TONO has had an observer position on Spellemann's board since 2019.
TONO's lyricist award went to Iver Strand Senneset for Oddny. The award for Composer of the Year presented by TONO went to Bjørn Morten Christophersen for "Krigsseilerrekviem" (War Sailor Requiem).
