"TONO has been negotiating with NOKIA for the past few months and I can confirm that the parties have now reached an agreement on the framework for a completely new type of agreement for the Norwegian and European markets. TONO is breaking new ground with this, and we are proud to be able to present a future-oriented, user-friendly and proactive agreement that will both ensure our members a reasonable payment for their music, while at the same time giving users easy and unlimited access to the music.

NOKIA has also entered into similar agreements with the central TONO companies within the EU, thereby giving mobile customers throughout Europe legal and very easy access to a huge music catalog of the highest quality.

"Comes With Music" is a unique music service that gives the public access to download entire songs and albums directly to their mobile phones and PCs at no extra cost. The music is made available to users when they buy their NOKIA phone with a 12 or 18 month commitment period. You have access to the music for as long as the subscription lasts, and after the expiration period you retain all the music for your own use. NOKIA pays the rights holders a fee in proportion to the number of users of the service and the music that is downloaded by the mobile customer, and TONO will receive detailed reports on the use of our repertoire throughout Europe. NOKIA is a major and professional player when it comes to new digital initiatives in music distribution, and TONO looks forward to a good and exciting collaboration with NOKIA in the future."
