I am a visual artist and want to use music in a video installation for publication on the Internet. Who licenses this?

For such productions, TONO licenses both synchronization and performance. Please note that if recorded music is used in such productions, the recording rights must be cleared by the owners. See recording rights for more information.

It is important to note that if the video installation is only to be used in the museum (i.e. not published on the Internet), then the institution may already have an agreement with TONO that covers this use. TONO's Marketing Department can be contacted at marked@tono.no for information about a possible contractual relationship between the museum and TONO.
