This is how Ankeeta Shrestha summarizes the 10-day seminar she attended in Oslo over the past 10 days. The seminar is organized by Norcode in collaboration with the UN agency WIPO.
/ 24/06/2013 / codexAnkeeta Shrestha is one of 20 participants from 20 collecting societies and copyright authorities in 17 countries who have participated in the seminar, which has been held in Oslo from 10 to 21 June. A wide range of lectures on many different parts of rights work has been on the agenda, and there have been both Norwegian and international speakers on the bill. TONO is one of the organizations behind Norcode, and has also contributed to the seminar with facilitation and content in the form of lectures and workshops on how we conduct our management work.
Ankeetha, who is the leader of the Nepalese organization MRCSN – Music Royalty Collection Society of Nepal, with which TONO has been particularly involved, has had educational days in Oslo.
The challenges in Nepal are many. The organizers are also very satisfied at the end of the course.
