EDVARD: Here are the nominees in the Contemporary category

Cecilie Ore, Sigurd Fischer Olsen and Øyvind Torvund are the nominees for the 2017 EDVARD Prize in the Contemporary category.

The EDVARD jury has also decided this year to nominate three authors in each of the five EDVARD categories Contemporary, Text, Open Class, Popular and Challenger. The winners in the various categories will be announced in the fall of 2017. Here are the nominees in the Contemporary category:

Cecilie Ore for "Dead pope on trial".

– The EDVARD Prize is awarded by colleagues to colleagues. That's why it's extra nice to be nominated.

Øyvind Torvund for "Sweet Pieces".

- Proud to be nominated for the EDVARD Prize.

Sigurd Fischer Olsen for "Ssserenades".

– It is very nice and surprising to be nominated for the EDVARD Prize. The piece is dedicated to vocalist Sofia Jernberg and would not have been possible without her.
