EDVARD: Here are the nominees in the Popular category

TONO will also be handing out EDVARD awards this year. Here you can see the three nominees in the Popular category.

This year, the EDVARD jury has decided to nominate three authors in each of the five EDVARD categories: Contemporary, Text, Open Class, Popular and Challenger. The winners in the different categories will be announced in late summer and autumn 2016. We will announce the nominees in the different categories in the coming weeks.

Here are the nominees in the Popular category:

Nina Elisabeth Mortvedt and Nikolai Hængsle Eilertesen for "Band of Gold"

– We are honored to be nominated for the EDVARD Prize! This came as ordered now that we are about to start our first festival summer! And this is undeniably very inspiring for us, now that we are in the middle of a creative phase with a new release right over the summer. No matter who walks away with the prize, it is a gift to know that we are included in the assessment. Thank you, say Nina and Nikolai

Hans Petter Gundersen for "Mudflowers".

– It is incredibly encouraging to receive such professional recognition for something I have been involved with and developed for the past 40 years and have never lost my curiosity and passion for. And very inspiring to just continue as long as the spark lasts, says Hans Petter.

Amund Maarud for "Volt".
