Johan Sara won the award for composer of the year at the Sami Music Awards 2025.

On Saturday, February 8, the Sami Music Awards 2025 were presented in Alta. The awards ceremony concluded the Sami Music Week industry festival.

TONO has been a partner and sponsor for a number of years, and was present both during the festival and the awards ceremony.

The Sami Music Awards were presented in the categories Open Class, Tradition Bearer, Composer and Young Artist.

Elisabeth Misvær is a Sami singer, yoiker and cultural mediator from Bodø, with classical singing training from the Vienna Opera School. Over the past 25 years, she has developed her musical signature within Sea Sami and Pite Sami.

Young artist

Linus Johnsen – A name to remember. After his strong participation in SGP 2023, Linus Johnsen took a short break, but in 2024 he returned with force in the single "Váibmu Julkigoahta". With his unique

voice and strong communication, he is a young artist who really deserves attention going forward.
