On Wednesday, March 29, the Music Publisher Awards were held for the ninth time. The awards ceremony took place in a packed Kulturkirken Jakob, and the show was hosted by Bergen rapper Myra.

Breakthrough of the Year Popular Music

The award for breakthrough in popular music of the year went to Synne Vorkinn, known as Synne Vo. She is represented by Arctic Rights Management AS/ Bmg Rights Management (Scandinavia) AB.

Honorary Award of the Year

The honorary award went to Frode Fjellheim and his music publisher Vuelie. Fjellheim's central role in creating interest in the Sami musical tradition was highlighted.

Most played song of the year

Categories Most played song of the year is based on statistics from Radio Monitor, Spotify and Apple Music. The work must have at least one author who is a member of TONO. The award went to Ramón Andresen and Andreas Bache-Wiig for the song okay I promise.

Classical/Contemporary Music Artist of the Year

The award went to composer Lasse Thoresen, who is affiliated with the music publisher Edition Polaris AS.

Popular Music Artist of the Year

Anders Nilsen received the award for the year's author in popular music. He is affiliated with the music publisher Astra.

Synchronization of the Year

The award for this year's Synchronization went to Roy Westad for the music for the commercial Lego Star Wars: This is how we play.Westad is affiliated with Arctic Rights Management.

Work of the year classical/contemporary music

Cecilie Ore, who is affiliated with Norsk Musikforlag, received the award for the year's work in classical/contemporary music for The H2O trilogy.

Popular music work of the year

Ariadne Loinsworth, known by the stage name ARY, and co-composer Paul Michael Williams White received the award for work of the year for My Awe Sustains. Loinsworth is affiliated Kobalt Music Publishing, and White is misplaced on Because Publishing.

This year's scholarship recipient

The Music Publishers Award awards a scholarship to an author each year. The candidate is chosen by the honorary prize winner, and Frode Fjellheim chose artist and songwriter Kajsa Balto.
