These guys have created the new Spellemann jingle

Earlier this fall, Spellemann, Monster and TONO invited composers across the country to submit their suggestions for this year's vignette. Of the over one hundred entries submitted, Arve Furset and Håkon Brevig Ingvaldsen's vignette was ultimately chosen.

Earlier this fall, Spellemann, Monster and TONO invited composers across the country to submit their suggestions for this year's vignette. Of the over one hundred entries submitted, Arve Furset and Håkon Brevig Ingvaldsen's vignette was ultimately chosen.

– Out of over a hundred submitted entries, the jury settled on the composition submitted by Arve Furset and Håkon Brevig Ingvaldsen. The entry is solemn and festive, transcending genres and inviting. The music plays well with the graphics, and has a ceremonial tone, says the jury's reasoning.

Furset and Brevig Ingvaldsen's vignette will open the Spellemann show, which is broadcast live from Oslo Spektrum on NRK1. In recent years, Spellemann has had over a million viewers, so the boys' winning entry will certainly be noticed.

– We are very happy and grateful to be part of the soundscape of Norway's largest and most important music award. Especially considering that our composition was chosen over so many other submitted entries. We thank TONO, Monster and Spellemannprisen for this open competition that gave us a unique opportunity to be heard, say the two happy winners.

Spellemann 2015 will be held on January 30th at Oslo Spektrum and will be broadcast on NRK 1. Artists such as Janove, Madcon, Ane Brun, Marcus & Martinus, Håkon Kornstad, Bendik and the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra will perform. More artists will be released before the show. The nominees will be announced on January 5th.
