You, and only you, can produce copies og make your intellectual property available to the public. You have this right for your entire life, and your heirs take over until 70 years after your death..
This is enshrined in Norwegian law by Intellectual property rights law. The Copyright Act is the basis for TONO's work.

Copyright is protected through a wide range of laws and agreements.
You do not need to be a member of TONO or another management company for copyright to apply. It is a fundamental right that follows you as a human being.
However, through membership in a TONO company, you ensure that you get paid when your music is used.
Remember that you must register your song on Mitt TONO as soon as possible, and always before it is made publicly available. This is how you avoid losing money.
