TONO's board consists of two representatives from the Norwegian Composers' Association (NKF), NOPA, the Music Publishers Association (MF), independent members and three employee representatives. Members are elected for two years at a time with overlapping terms. Four board positions are up for election each year to ensure continuity.

The nomination committee's recommendation was adopted with NOPA representative Ole Henrik Antonsen up for re-election, independent Halvard Rundberg, Frithjof Hungnes from Music Publishers and Knut Olaf Sunde from the Norwegian Composers' Association as new representatives. This also means that Jørgen Karlstrøm (NKF), Kai Robøle (MF), and Stian Westerhus have left TONO's board.

Ole Henrik Antonsen was elected as the new chairman and Mia Hallesby as the new deputy chairman, in line with the nomination committee's recommendation.

See a complete overview of TONO's board of directors here.

The TONO members' representatives on the TONO board are thus as follows, with the representatives who were up for election highlighted in bold:

*Tonje Hovde was not up for election, but has been moved from 2nd alternate to 1st alternate. This is in line with the articles of association § 31 (1), fourth sentence.

In addition to these, there are also three employee-elected representatives on the board, who are elected every two years by TONO's employees according to their own rules. These were not up for election this year.

No support for new settlement model

At the board meeting on May 7, TONO's board adopted a new settlement model. The decision was made subject to the annual meeting's approval of the model's overarching principles. These did not receive a sufficient number of votes to be adopted. The new board will therefore continue to work on the principles before they are again presented to TONO's annual meeting for approval.

No support for proposal to open for external chairman

Mia Hallesby from Musikkforleggerne's suggestion to the annual meeting about the possibility of opening up for an external chairman was not supported.

The Control Committee

None of the members of the control committee were initially up for election this year. However, as a result of Fridtjof Hungnes (Propeller Music AS) being elected as a representative on TONO's board, he had to step down from the control committee, cf. TONO's statutes § 53 (2). Johan Husvik-Olaussen has been elected as a new member in the Music Publishers' seat.
