City alarm is over for this time. TONO is grateful to have been allowed to participate as one of the conference/festival's most important contributors this year.
/ 19/02/2013 / codexAt By:Larm 2013, around 80 seminars, 250 concerts and an unknown number of speed meetings were held. Many music players have been able to communicate their passions to an important audience. Many young musicians have perhaps also gotten their first taste of belonging to an industry. Networks have been expanded. Perhaps new music will also arise as a result of new meetings here. We hope so!
This year, TONO manned the artist check-in at the Royal Christiania Hotel, we participated in a panel debate about niches in the new, digital music market, and also hosted songwriters, lyricists and the industry in general in our TONO lounge, next door to the WiMP tent/main stage. TONO wants songwriters, composers, lyricists and music publishers to feel that they are part of a community. The TONO lounge was built around this, and it was important for us to highlight the benefits of belonging to TONO. The tent was decorated with clear TONO branding, an exhibition with some of the winners of our Edvard Prize, as well as some important TONO messages. The tent was very well visited every day.
As part of our Bylarm commitment, we have also reported key things via our Twitter profile twitter.com/_tono_ and our Instagram profile at instagram.com/tono_norge. The feedback indicates that this has been very much appreciated. It is inspiring! Visit these profiles yourself, and see what we posted during the By:Larm days.
