TONO has now entered into an agreement with Den Kulturelle Skolesekken that covers all performances under the auspices of DKS throughout the country in the second half of 2021.

The Cultural School Backpack (DKS) is a national initiative that aims to help students in primary and secondary education in Norway encounter professional art and culture of all kinds. Every year, thousands of concerts are arranged in schools in this context under the auspices of the counties.
TONO has a year-round agreement that regulates these concerts, normally around 6000 concerts a year. TONO's ordinary agreement with DKS has been adjusted for a period of time in view of the covid-19 pandemic, which led to some school closures and thus also less DKS-related concert activity.
TONO and Den kulturellter skolesekken chose, based on the unpredictable situation, to divide 2021 in two. An agreement was first signed for the first half of the year, and one has now been signed for the second half of the year. TONO and DKS will soon enter into negotiations with a view to a new agreement valid from 1 January 2022.
The agreement means that DKS receives one overall permit for all concert performances in return for one, overall fee being paid per year, and that music reports for all performances are submitted twice a year.
