TONO's podcast "Lage Musikk" was launched in January 2018. Through 65 episodes, host Torgny Amdam has interviewed composers and lyricists about their creative processes.

After four years, the podcast is now coming to an end. The very last episode features a guest appearance by legendary songwriter and recording artist Ole Paus.

– I've never looked back. Maybe I should have done it to learn a little from my own mistakes, but when it's done I'm done with it. There's always something new to learn, a different path to take, a story to tell, says Paus.

Over the course of 50 years, he has released over 40 albums. The latest, "Så nær, så nær", was written and produced in collaboration with Motorpsycho. For this, he received the EDVARD Prize in the lyrics category in 2021.

You can hear the episode wherever you listen to podcasts.

Fruitful collaboration

Since its inception in 2018, 65 episodes of "Lage Musikk" have been made, with even more guests.

In addition to episodes recorded in the studio at the production company Moderne Media, TONO and Torgny Amdam have presented the podcast live to audiences at venues such as Bylarm, Trondheim Calling, Ultima and Vill Vill Vest.

On Thursday, the music media outlet Ballade published an interview with Amdam about the podcast and its music journalistic role:

– I hope we have been able to help make the Norwegian music community bigger. I am first and foremost a colleague and then a journalist in these meetings. Maybe it has made the conversation freer?

"Lage Musikk" will continue to be available. With a wide range of guests, including Jørn Stubberud (Mayhem), Susanne Sundfør, Emilie Nicolas, Sondre Lerche, Øystein Greni, Nils Bech, Maja Ratkje, Dagny, Tommy Tee, Ane Brun and Synne Skouen, we can only recommend a deep dive.

TONO thanks Torgny Amdam and Moderne Media for the fruitful collaboration.
