Composers whose music is performed at concerts in the United States are encouraged to apply for ASCAP Awards. Members who submitted applications last year received between $100 and $400 in post-paid royalties from ASCAP.
/ 06/06/2008 / codexThere are such a huge number of concert venues in the USA that only the largest and most reputable ones have agreements for detailed music reporting to ASCAP, one of TONO's sister societies in this market. This naturally means that a number of authors fall outside ASCAP's ordinary settlement system. As compensation, they have established the ASCAP Awards. Application forms regarding performances in the period October 1, 2007 - September 30, 2008, must be sent to TONO by January 1, 2009.
