TONO songwriters who have their music performed at concerts in the United States are encouraged to apply for ASCAP Awards. Members who submitted applications last year received between $100 and $350 in post-paid royalties from ASCAP.
/ 30/11/2011 / codexThere are such a huge number of concert venues in the US that only the largest and most reputable venues have agreements for detailed music reporting to ASCAP, which is one of TONO's sister societies in this market. This of course means that a number of authors fall outside ASCAP's regular billing system. As a compensation, they have created the ASCAP Awards.
