Brothers Mugisho and Willy Nhonzi have included the song Marginal demonstrated an impressive ability to transform personal, painful experiences into powerful, relevant and universally valid storytelling. Marginal is an important artistic contribution to the public conversation that followed Black Lives Matter. It is a strong political work and a great artistic achievement. One almost has to be numb not to be moved when the work's title is proclaimed as a battle cry in the chorus. A strong music video has created an extra dimension in the communication of the song. Together with director Kristoffer Nylund Grindheim and video producer Andreas Trøften Lie, Mugisho and Willy have combined text, music and moving images that fearlessly and effectively address a major problem in the world and Norway. Marginal hits hard, straight from the inside, challenging us to stop, wake up, feel and sense our breath. The direct, emotional and vulnerable become part of the achievement of this powerful salve.
