He has developed a completely unique style in music and lyrics, and through the band DUMDUM BOYS he has been a style creator and guide for Norwegian rock. The prize winner is perhaps the most obvious Norwegian rock poet, but without a classic narrative style. The lyrics consist rather of a series of poetic, fragmented, infectious messages in a personal form. His ability to deliver lyrics where the listener himself must build his own images from a mysterious, exciting and contrasting different world is unique.
In 2005, this creator has delivered new contributions to an album that has seduced a new generation of audiences. Once again, he has brought a rock song to the top of the charts and made all of Norway sing along that he is both a Splitter Pine and a Unicorn.
