The lyrics support the music in a masterful way. They use the capital letters of rock, both observant and enigmatic, to create images and associations that deepen the complexity and diversity of the music.

Over a career spanning more than 20 years, the composers have developed a distinct and original signature to their compositions. Their work has earned them great recognition, both in Norway and internationally.

The authors have always worked with a focus on the album format. The jury therefore finds it appropriate to award the prize for the entire album and not for a single work. The jury further believes that the album Child of the Future is very representative of the authors' career.
