On "Pretty Girls & Grey Sweaters" he shows an abundance of ideas and a musical audacity that few are blessed with. Here, music is stolen, borrowed, discovered and created in a blissful mix. Elements of classic West Coast music, solid gospel tradition and hip hop naturally blend into a solid Norwegian pop album. He is a bridge builder between genres, and the contributions from profiled guest artists such as Timbuktu, Jarle Berhoft, Yosef and Ole Edvard Antonsen support this. It is particularly demanding to be a composer, lyricist, artist, musician and producer on a debut album. But Peder Losnegård is brave and has a lot of music in his heart. He appears with a clear understanding of style, playfulness and execution. He describes it all nicely in one of his text fragments: "I just sound good doing this".
The jury could not have said it better themselves.
