Recording of church services

A synchronization license gives you the right to synchronize, that is, combine, music with both still and moving images in audiovisual productions. This can, for example, involve recordings of church services and ceremonies that remain available online after the service or ceremony has been live-streamed. TONO offers synchronization licenses for both individual church services and through ongoing agreements:

• A church service can be available online for up to one week after the event has been held for a fee of NOK 500.
• A full-year agreement for weekly church services that will be available online for a fee of NOK 6.000.

In addition to the synchronization license for recordings that remain available online, the actual performance (broadcast/playback) on the Internet must be licensed, and TONO offers both licenses for individual services and through ongoing agreements:

• 300,- NOK for streaming a single church service to the congregation
• NOK 2.500 for up to 10 shipments per half year
• NOK 5.000 for up to 26 shipments per half year

 Please note that the synchronization license will only apply if the services and ceremonies remain available online. In the case of live streaming, only the performance rights are subject to payment.

TONO also offers performance and synchronization licenses for other types of video productions than church services and ceremonies.
