Do you organize concerts in the church?

The rights organization TONO and KA Employers' Organization for Church Businesses have negotiated an agreement that allows congregations in the Church of Norway to perform all kinds of music from around the world at church concerts - and at the same time save time and money.

In addition to music being an important part of church services and ceremonies, many congregations also organize church concerts. This makes the congregations concert organizers, and thus, according to Section 3 of the Copyright Act, they must have permission for the performances from the composers and lyricists.

TONO makes this easy! With one TONO permit per congregation, congregations can use a whole world repertoire of music, knowing that they have the rights in order. If the congregation in addition By contacting TONO and requesting a "KA agreement", you will save both time and money:

Here are the benefits of TONO's "KA agreement":

• Most community councils can pay a fixed annual fee based on the population of the municipality, and thus have the permit in order. The price will be lower than TONO's regular concert fee for many congregations.
• Churches save time and resources by having one permit for the entire year.
• Cathedral parishes and parishes that organize more than 75 concerts a year continue to pay individual fees for each concert, but receive a discount of 25 percent compared to the regular concert fee.
