The second quarterly settlement of the year from TONO is being paid out today. NOK 68 million goes to TONO members.
/ 11/06/2020 / Willy MartinsenIn TONO's second ordinary quarterly settlement in 2020, NOK 68 million will be settled to TONO members, while NOK 110,2 million will be settled to individual rights holders abroad. As usual, funds are also reserved for currently unidentified rights holders/musical works, unannounced musical works, non-members and disputed rights, a total of NOK 3,7 million.
In addition, TONO transfers 89,8 million to sister societies for individual settlement. This is not about settlement at the rights holder level. Rather, this is money at the channel level from Rikstv, Norwaco, TV3, TV6 and Viasat that is forwarded to the sister societies that have the music reports, and who will thus settle further at the rights holder level on our behalf. Some of this money will be returned as foreign settlement.
The money in the June settlements comes from a number of different areas, including radio and TV broadcasting, third-party TV distribution, concerts, music and video streaming services, settlements from abroad and cinema films.
TONO members who are billed have today received a bill letter by email. Here you can read a complete overview of bill areas, including individual channels and services, and the period for which these are billed.
