63,4 million in the year's first quarter settlement

TONO currently pays out NOK 55,9 million to composers, lyricists and music publishers in Norway and abroad. In addition, NOK 7,5 million is paid out to TONO members for the use of their music in streaming services.

Radio and TV, performances abroad and streaming are among the areas for which TONO currently pays a total of 63,4 million. 29,8 million of this goes to TONO's members.

TONO has today made the following settlements: Performances on Norwegian radio and TV in the third quarter of 2016, performances abroad, Netflix for the fourth quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016, Discovery channels, Animal Planet and TLC for 2016, as well as various subsequent settlements, direct settlements and adjustments. The settlements for this amount to kr 55,9 million. Of this, kr 22,3 million to members of TONO, kr 31,7 million goes to rights holders abroad, while kr 1,9 million is reserved for currently unidentified rights holders/musical works, unannounced musical works, non-members and disputed rights.

TONO members also receive remuneration for streaming, which we settle via our subsidiary NCB (Nordic Copyright Bureau). This NCB settlement is on kr 7,5 million, and includes Spotify for July to October 2016 and Tidal for June to October 2016.

Overall, the aforementioned TONO and NCB settlements to TONO members total NOK 29,8 million.

Members who have registered activity on their TONO member account have received an email about this today. Payment will be made in week 11. Remember that you, as a TONO member, can log in to My TONO, and see the balance and all movements in your member account.
