This week, TONO is paying out NOK 42,7 million to composers, songwriters, lyricists, music publishers and other rights holders. If you are a rights holder in TONO, you can check your member account on our web services to see how much settlement your works have generated this time.
/ 20/03/2013 / codexThe 1st quarter settlement is one of the four regular settlement payments in TONO. This settlement includes performances on radio and TV in the third quarter of 2012, private copying for 2011, VG TV settlement for the second half of 2012, foreign settlement, as well as various subsequent settlements, direct settlements and adjustments. Approximately 45 percent of the amount goes to TONO rights holders in Norway. TONO also manages the world repertoire in Norway, and 55 percent of the settlement amount goes to rights holders at our sister societies in other countries. As a TONO member, you can see your balance and all movements in your member account at any time on TONO's web services. Here you can also search for settlement data for individual works across periods and categories with details about the individual performances. Settlement vouchers showing the number of performances per channel for the individual settlement runs are available for download.
TONO reserves the right to make corrections to any errors in the settlement due to circumstances beyond our control. If such an error results in a licensee receiving too much in settlement, the error will be corrected by offsetting in the next payment.
